NORTH Hub - STARS Basketball Sumner County Summer League: 

1. BOYS-Rising 4th through Rising 8th Grade)
2. INDIVIDUAL PLAYER REGISTRATION ONLY (NO Team Registrations)

Goals of the League: LEARN/HAVE FUN/COMPETE - STARS coaches will provide a positive and competitive environment through purposeful skills teaching and structured games.  Each week, there will be a primary focus/teaching point.  Athletes need both proper teaching and reps This format will allow athletes to learn and work on their skills in a structured practice and scrimmage setting. 

Weekly Emphasis Points (both offensive and defensive principles):  Each week, STARS Coaches will introduce new, teaching points that will focus on both offensive and defensive elements of the game; model of: Teach/Learn/Execute!

Dates and Divisions:  Mondays (July 8, 15, 22, 29; August 5, 12^th)

• League sessions will be held at Shafer Middle School (Gallatin); depending on league size, other facilities may be added
• Grades:  Rising 4th-8th Grade Boys (2024-2025 school year)
• Divisions (Boys Only): 

• Rising 4th/5th Grade
• JV (Rising 6th and 7th Grade)
• Varsity (Rising 7th Grade/Advanced Players and Rising 8th Grade)

• Session Times:  5:00, 6:10, 7:20, and 8:30 (tentative times– dependent on # of registered players/teams)
• Season consists of 6 sessions/games

 Format:  Session/Game Times and Rules:

• 70 minutes per session 
• Each session will include 15 minutes of skills/drills/teaching of weekly focus point(s) followed by 48 minutes of game play
• Two, 24 mins halves with a running clock

Teams

• 7-9 players per team
• Individual registration only 
• Teams Formed/Coaches Assigned – Teams (players and assigned coaches) are “flexible” for the entire season (*Player moves could happen to make teams more fair/competitive environment)
• Each player will receive STARS Jersey; returned at last session/game

 Player Fee:

• Price per player:  $139 (early bird – if registering prior to June 24th); $150 if registering June 24^th and later
• Registration deadline:  Wed., July 3^rd
